How to do a heelflip on a skateboard.
The heelflip is the opposite of a kickflip. In the heelflip the board rotates out in front of you. The heelflip rotates by flipping the nose of the board with you heel of your foot, thats why its called the heelflip. Before trying the heelflip you might want to have your ollies down pretty good, it will help so much when learning this trick.
FOOT PLACEMENT- Start off by putting your back foot on the tail of the board, as you would normally do for a ollie. For your front foot start by also putting it as you would for and ollie, make sure half of your foot is hanging off the board, as it was shown in the video.
FORM THE ROTATION- Now that you got the foot placement, the next step is to get the rotation of the heelflip. Start off by popping the tail of the board like a ollie. Slide your front foot to the nose of the board, then kick your heel of your foot off the side of the nose on the board. This will cause the board to rotate out in front of you.
LANDING- Be sure to wait until the skateboard has done the full rotation. Once you see the grip tape thats when you want to try to catch it with your feet. Also when trying this trick, be sure to keep your shoulders right over the board, this will help the landing to be so much easier.
PRACTICE- To Practice this trick, you can simply just practice by just catching the board with only your front foot, then do the same with your back foot. In order for you to master this trick you must practice, this trick is very difficult, so the only solution is to PRACTICE PRACTICE.
